Glaucoma is progressive damage to the optic nerve. The optic nerve is the cable that connects the back of the eye to the brain and gives us our peripheral vision. If glaucoma is detected there are several different treatments. All glaucoma treatments focus on reducing elevated eye pressure. These treatments can include laser treatments, medicated eye drops or surgery. There area several different ways to test for the presence of glaucoma.
